How It Works

Setup Steps

Power Your Gateway

Plug your Gateway into a power outlet with the provided power cord and wait until the LED on the Gateway turns RED

Remove the battery cover

Remove the battery cover  on the back of the scale, and insert the 4 AAA batteries.

Pairing your Scale & Gateway

With the gateway plugged in, press the back button on the scale to turn it on. Once the lights come on, press the button again and hold down for five seconds to trigger pairing mode.

A blinking Bluetooth symbol will appear on the scale screen. Once paired, the Bluetooth symbol will stop blinking and appear with a box around it.

The gateway will also beep once the pairing has been completed. You only need to perform this step once.

Scale Placement

Place the scale on a hard, even surface. Avoid using the device on carpet.

A) Place your scale on a flat and hard surface.

B) Do NOT place the scale on carpet or soft surface.

Properly set up

Step on the scale and remain standing until your weight is displayed on screen. Your weight measurement will automatically be sent to the gateway.

Take a measurement

When a measurement concludes, the Gateway will beep and the LED ring will turn GREEN, indicating that you have properly taken a measurement, and that measurement was successfully transmitted.

When Taking a Measurement

Before You Measure

  • Place the scale on a flat, hard surface for at least 10 seconds. Obtaining the measurement immediately after placing the scale on a flat, hard surface may affect the accuracy of the measurement.
  • If you place the scale on carpet, fit the extension feet before taking the measurement. Placing the scale sensors directly on carpet may affect the accuracy of the measurement.
  • Always start a measurement at the same time on the same scale located on the same flat surface

Taking Your Measurement

  • Step on the platform in your bare feet. The scale automatically powers on and begins the measurement.
  • Stand still and keep full contact with the scale until the LCD stops blinking and displays the weight.

Gateway Basics

Getting Started

This means that the Gateway is trying to connect to a cell tower. Once connected to a cellular network, the Gateway will turn RED. If it goes RED and back to PURPLE , it’s looking for the strongest signal. The Gateway will go from PURPLE to BLUE if it can’t find a signal.
