This week, Tenovi earned a spot on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies. Ranking No. 55 overall is an honor. Being named No. 1 in New Hampshire, No. 2 in Boston is thrilling. But—Most important: Ranking No. 11 in healthcare is a powerful reminder of why we do this work.
To earn the No. 55 spot, Tenovi grew revenue by 4,890% between 2021 and 2024. This growth was driven by a mission to expand access to preventive care through remote monitoring and a commitment to building beyond the limitations of the traditional healthcare model. In these three years, Tenovi has moved from concept to supporting over 180 organizations, shipping 268,000 devices and serving a quarter million patients nationwide.
The Beginning
When Dan Zondervan and Nizan Friedman finished their PhDs at UC Irvine, they co-founded Flint Rehab, and their focus was on neurorehabilitation tools. They developed FDA listed devices that helped stroke survivors improve movement at home with an interactive full-body stroke rehabilitation system. Flint Rehab has since become the number one global leader in number of gamified neurorehab devices delivered, with over 50,000,000 repetitions completed. Its award winning neurorehabilitation devices, FitMi and MusicGlove are trusted by clinicians and universities and used in over 300 rehab facilities, 450 hospitals, 10,000 homes and 41 countries.
What Nizan and Daniel began to see again and again was that outpatient care was not happening consistently enough. The gaps between in-office visits were too wide with waits as long as six to 12 months. The traditional care model of one visit every six to 12 months simply does not work for managing hypertension, heart failure, diabetes, COPD, and other complex conditions. Those months between visits leave dangerous gaps that often lead to long term disability and premature death.
That is what led them to create Tenovi.
Their mission from day one has been to unlock preventive care for the 130 million Americans living with chronic conditions, and turn these gaps into an opportunity for early intervention. Much like AWS powers cloud infrastructure, Tenovi powers remote patient monitoring (RPM) and remote therapeutic monitoring (RTM) programs by delivering the hardware, software, and the support backbone that allows healthcare organizations to scale real-time, plug-and-play monitoring, without apps, syncing, or Wi-Fi. It is remote monitoring made simple, reliable, and accessible.
The Middle
At the core of Tenovi’s multi-sided platform is our proprietary Tenovi Cellular Gateway, which seamlessly connects to over 40 different FDA-cleared medical devices including the leading manufacturers in each device category. We are able to capture a 360 degree view of a patient’s health including vitals, medication adherence, activity, and sleep data, all of which are transmitted automatically aggregated, and able to be consumed by one API. This allows our customers to scale remote monitoring programs quickly and confidently for any patient population, at any size, now and into the future.
Our partners include local independent practices to national RPM companies, ACOs, community health centers, and pharmacy chains. This growth developed by focusing relentlessly on quality RPM technology and solutions that improve patient care and reduce workload for the health teams doing the work.
Partnering across hundreds of deployments has taught us how to deliver remote care solutions that work for both patients and providers. Below are a few core elements we have found that make a difference.
- Seamless connectivity. For remote care to work at scale across our growing aging population, it has to be effortless. Tenovi’s devices work right out of the box, no apps, syncing, or Wi-Fi required. A simple red and green LED on the Tenovi Gateway helps guide the patient RPM experience: red means it’s time to take a measurement while green confirms the data has been sent to their care team. It’s clear, intuitive, and designed to help patients adhere measurement schedules and engaged in their care.
- Reliable hardware. Inaccurate or unreliable devices lead to poor clinical decisions, frustrated patients, and lost trust. That’s why Tenovi connects with trusted manufacturers known for category-defining accuracy. Our gateway is engineered in the U.S. and supports over 40 FDA-cleared devices—each integrated and tested for long-term reliability.
- Scalable fulfillment. Our fulfillment team works tirelessly everyday to be sure patients devices get to the right place, on time, and ready to use. Our white glove fulfillment process is fast, accurate, and scalable, whether a provider is deploying ten devices or ten thousand. Every product is preconfigured for the patient and tested before it ships. When it arrives, it works for both patients and clinicians.
- World-class support. Behind every device is a patient and a care team counting on it to work. Our fulfillment team ensures devices arrive on time, preconfigured, and ready to use, so patients and providers can get up and running without delays or downtime. If questions arise, Tenovi’s support team answers patient tech questions quickly and clearly, reducing drop-off and helping care teams stay focused on clinical care.
- Trusted partners. We connect providers with the best teams in remote care. Our partners include experienced clinical service providers and leading remote patient monitoring software platforms. Whether a provider is starting a new RPM program or scaling nationwide, we help pair them with the right service and software partners to build a program that lasts.
The Next Beginning
Earning No. 11 in Healthcare on the Inc. 5000 list is a major milestone in our journey to better patient care, but there’s much more ahead to accomplish. To the clinicians, operators, and innovators we work alongside: thank you for showing that remote care can be smarter, simpler, and more effective. And to every patient checking their vitals at home today using something we helped build, you are the reason this work matters the most.
This recognition means the remote care model is working, care gaps are closing, and the future of better, more connected healthcare is getting closer, one device and one measurement at a time.
There’s more to do. Let’s keep it going!
