RxHealing, OpenLoop and Tenovi today announced the launch of a comprehensive pharmacy-driven remote patient monitoring (RPM) program. Roughly 83% of independent community pharmacies provide health services beyond traditional dispensing, such as diabetes counseling, immunizations, and blood pressure checks.1

The partnership empowers pharmacists to deliver proactive, personalized support to chronic care patients between scheduled office visits. This initiative is designed to improve clinical outcomes, reduce overall healthcare costs, and unlock new revenue streams for independent pharmacies through Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) reimbursement.

OpenLoop is the nation’s leading provider of virtual care operations, combining a 20,000+ clinician network across all 50 states with the technology, compliance, and billing infrastructure necessary to sustain large-scale RPM programs. Operating through an NCQA-accredited clinical network spanning 35+ specialties, OpenLoop supports 220,000+ patient visits per month and covers 250 million lives nationwide.

“Pharmacists already know which patients are struggling between visits. What’s been missing is the clinical infrastructure to act on it: the oversight, the billing, the compliance backbone. That’s why OpenLoop joined this initiative – independent pharmacies are an underused entry point for chronic care, and this is a real mechanism to change that. For a hypertension patient on Medicare, having that support between appointments is often the difference between a managed condition and an ER visit,” said Dr. Jon Lensing, Co-Founder and CEO of OpenLoop.

“This partnership represents an important step forward in making connected care more accessible, scalable, and patient centered. By combining the strengths of RxHealing, OpenLoop, and Tenovi, we are helping pharmacies extend care beyond the counter and into patients’ everyday lives. We are proud to be part of building a more proactive healthcare model, one grounded in compliance, clinical integrity, and respect for the rules that protect patients and pharmacies alike,” said Eric Lankford, CEO of RxHealing.

Tenovi’s industry-leading cellular remote monitoring devices, data aggregation combined with OpenLoop’s comprehensive virtual care infrastructure provides an end-to-end solution for pharmacies looking to scale their clinical impact. Tenovi’s proprietary Cellular Gateway integrates with over 50 remote medical devices, automatically transferring patient vitals from the home to clinical teams with immediate feedback and visual reminders to improve patient adherence.

“Our goal at Tenovi is to simplify remote care. By pairing our ‘high-tech’ cellular devices with the ‘high-touch’ relationships of community pharmacists, we are bridging a critical gap for rural patients who live miles from standard care. This program ensures that a patient’s geography never dictates the quality of their healthcare.” said Brandon Haag, VP of Sales PBM, Payer, Pharmacy.
